Project Description:
At over 36′ feet tall this particular project was a very fun and dangerous project to complete. Water was getting into the property between the chimney made out of cinder block and the glable’s wood sheeting ( something we see often), we sealed both joints on each side of the chimney, we added the necessary kick out flashing diverters, we sealed the roof’s flashing and the chimney from the roof up, we added a piece of blue stone to the chimney hip (shoulder), we added a 14 gauge stainless steel mesh to protect the crown of the chimney from birds and replace the existing cracked stone crown with a 2 ” blue stone. When we finished, the home owner said that they chose us over the rest because other contractors where afraid to tackle this job, some wanted extra $ to rent a crane to lift the over 300 pounds piece of blue stone, we in fact had to build another scaffolding tower to lift the pieces 40′ high, if you pay attention to the pictures you will find me hanging from the scaffolding ;), good memories with my crew.
